Start your day of adventure from the water: easily accessible destinations such as the Niederhorn, the Niesen, the Stockhorn, and the St. Beatus Caves await you around Lake Thun. Or stay in the city and stroll through the old town of Thun, climb the 128 steps to the castle, and enjoy the impressive mountain panorama—at your own pace.

Our recommendations: In the morning (approx. 9:00–11:00 a.m.), you can start your day trip with plenty of time for stops in Spiez or Interlaken.
Afternoons (approx. 2:00–4:00 p.m.) are particularly suitable for a relaxed round trip without any time pressure. Evening trips in summer are especially atmospheric—perfect for experiencing the sunset over Lake Thun.
