THIS IS HOW THE ADVENTURE WORKS:
1. you book the package, we organize the Aare boat booking for you.
2 . on the day of the adventure we provide a packed lunch to take away.
3 . pack the following items: clothing suitable for the weather, shoes that can get wet and sun protection. And make sure you pack your cell phone in a waterproof case !
4. with our partner aarebootsvermiertung.ch will tell you everything you need to know about the adventure - route, trip duration, safety.
5. pick up the boat in Thun between 10.00 and 14.30 and set off on your adventure.
6 . return the boat to Camping Eichholz in Bern by 18.00 hrs after the tour
7. travel back to Thun by public transport.
AAREBÖTLE - THE LEISURE ACTIVITY OF THE LOCALS
Rubber boating on the River Aare, also known as "Aareböötle", is a popular summer leisure activity in and around Bern. In summer, Bernese people meet up on the Aare to relax and unwind. On the train from Bern to Thun on a beautiful Saturday, you will see all kinds of people with rubber boats, life jackets, water bags and blue barrels. Be inspired by the local tradition - or even lifestyle - and experience this authentic adventure at first hand.
Booking information - excl. CHF 4.50 visitor's tax per person and night. The package includes no transportation costs and is not a guided tour. Guided tours can be organized on request.
Cancellation conditions for hotel rooms - Up to 24 hours before arrival - free of charge, thereafter 100 % of the booked arrangement.
Safety instructions - Our rubber boat rental partners will ensure that you are provided with the necessary equipment and safety instructions so that you can enjoy your tour without any worries. Please note, however, that swimming in the Aare only recommended for experienced swimmers is recommended.
There are rules on the Aare too. They serve to protect you and others. We ask you to watch the instruction video and show it to all participants.
